A Note from Ashley

Greetings from the Middle of the Mitten! I, Ashley Rasmussen, am a 2004 graduate of Central Michigan University (Alpha Sigma Alpha, Beta Theta Chapter). I majored in General Business Administration but have since then returned to school - I'm going to be a lawyer when I grow up! I am currently living in Saint Louis, Michigan but am originally from the Bad Axe area.

 

I have been a part of the District Five Volunteer Recruitment Team for over two years now, first as a team member and now as the team leader. I cannot stress how much being a part of this sorority has meant to me. As an undergraduate, I had no idea what this organization would come to mean to me. Looking back on the experience, I can't imagine my life without Alpha Sigma Alpha and the sisters I found within. It would have never happened if someone hadn't said to me "Come and meet my sisters. They are like a family to me, and I wouldn't invite just anyone into my family." The goal of recruitment is not just to benefit the sorority by adding new members to it, but to give other women the opportunity to grow and to flourish in the environment that Alpha Sigma Alpha provides.
